Homeownership

Our goal is to build 5,000 quality homes by 2012, bringing American style mortgage finance so that the good citizens of Tanzania can live in their own homes immediately instead of taking years to build as is presently the practice.

The option of long term mortgages will help Tanzania overcome the shortage of affordable housing and will mean more Tanzanians can become true stakeholders in their country. Kunduchi site

Our first houses will be built in Kunduchi, 15 kilometers north of downtown Dar es Salaam on Bagamoyo Road, then 2.5 kilometers down Bahari Beach Road, then a half kilometer towards the White Sands Resort and just across the road from SEAMIC, the Southern and Eastern African Mineral Centre.

The site is beautiful land adjacent to nearby homes to the West and North, SEAMIC to the South, and 1/3 kilometer from Kundichi Beach to the East.

The site is readily accessible to downtown from Bagamoyo Road which is being widened to 4 lanes and the New Coastal Road being built just to the East assuring future growth and ease in travel.

The land is highlighted by a Baobab tree, which will sit next to a landscaped pond and community park at the center of the estate.

Design approach

Please see the final designs to the left for the six house types, Tiger, Gazelle, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Rhino.

Each residential cluster neighborhood will consist of single-family homes, with photovoltaic (solar) electrical equipment installed into houses, allowing homebuyers to have an alternative source of power. The development will also include the installation of required infrastructure, including roads and utilities.

Future sites

Enterprise Homes Tanzania Limited will build 5,000 homes in the major cities throughout Tanzania, starting with Dar es Salaam. We are currently negotiating for land in the Kunzudi area, which is the northern part of Dar es Salaam about 14 kilometers north of downtown and 4 kilometers west of Bagamoyo Road.

We are also seeking owners with clear title to land in other areas in Dar es Salaam, as well as in Mwanza, Arusha and other cities throughout Tanzania.
